The weather didn’t stop people from coming out to the National Guard Armory (High School Gym) to see the 75 vendors, crop exhibits, speakers and more at the 70th Annual Grant County Farm & Home Show! It was held on January 12 & 13, 2018.
On both Friday & Saturday, Arlo Levison, with the Grant County Historical Society gave a presentation. It was titled, “The Age of Early Man in Northeastern South Dakota”. As always, Arlo kept everyone entertained with his awesome stories and facts.
We were also thrilled to be able to bring in Congresswoman and Governor Candidate, Kristi Noem. She spoke and answered questions from the audience in the Theater on Friday.
People were able to visit with friends and neighbors as kids kept busy on free inflatables. And the food booths didn’t disappoint!
On Saturday morning there was a free & delicious Farmers Breakfast put on by the Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee. It was open to current & retired farmers and held in the Community Room of the Visitor Center. Pancakes were made by the Ag Committee and the eggs, bacon, sausage, milk and juice were provided by Speedway.
