Ameriprise Financial, formerly IDS Financial Services, opened its first office in Milbank in 1983 with Sheldon Konstant as a Financial Advisor. Jamey Jurgens took over the office in January of 1997 and was a financial advisor until his retirement in July of 2016. Dennis Mears was hired in February of 2016 and has over five years experience in the financial services industry. Dennis is part of Legacy Financial Partners, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., which has 28 financial advisors in 14 offices.
In his free time, Dennis and his wife of 29 years, Val, enjoy attending athletic events, boating, spending time with family and volunteering. Dennis and Val have 3 kids: Mackenzie, Nick and Andrew. Mackenzie is currently attending grad school for Physical Therapy; Nick just graduated from SDSU and is working as an Orthopedic Sales Representative in Bismarck, ND and Andrew is currently attending Lake Area Tech in Watertown for Robotics.
