Location: North of Visitor Center

Flynn Park is located behind Milbank’s new Visitor Center. The pond and water fountain provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere for visitors as they stroll along the walking path. Take a break on the beautiful green lawn or in the shaded picnic shelter.

Flynn Park is named after a long-time attorney and city resident, Leo P. Flynn. His donations have helped contribute to the many beautiful attractions within the City.

Hurley Park

Location: South of High School on Jefferson Drive

Hurley Park provides entertainment for all seasons. Relax in the grass and watch a playful soccer game or bundle up for winter and check out the ice skating rink. The small log cabin contains restrooms and a warming area during the cool months.

Jack and Jill Park

Location: On 5th Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street.

Jack & Jill Park is centrally located one block south of Highway 12. Surrounded by a residential area, this park offers a great family environment. Basketball courts and grass areas are great for older children and the large playground area focuses on younger children. A shaded picnic shelter and restrooms are available.

Lake Farley Park

Location: Highway 15

Lake Farley is one of Milbank’s most beautiful areas. This large park offers entertainment and fun for individuals of all ages. Several different playgrounds are available for children, as well as a swimming beach with two docks. Five picnic shelters across the park are accessible for relaxation, family picnics, or event gatherings. A path around the park is great for walking, jogging, or biking. Enjoy a game of basketball or volleyball near the beach area. Restrooms are available near the playground and beach.

This manmade lake was named after an active community volunteer and councilman, John Stanley Farley. The lake and dam provided the needed source of water for operating the steam locomotives that fueled the railroad train. Take a chance to visit the Lake Farley Train Station near the beach area.

Pribyl Park

Location: Sawrey Drive & 12th Ave

Pribyl Park is a large park on the south end of Milbank, near Koch School. This park is equipped with three softball fields, Skate Park, and small playground area. Take a stroll on Schreiner Trail or spend time with friends and family in the large grass areas. Pribyl Park also has a picnic shelter, restrooms, and concession area.

This 32 acre park was named after Darell Pribyl for his many years of work developing and caring for city parks.

Legion Field

Location: Highway 12 next to Unity Square

In July of 1925, the South Dakota Department of the American Legion passed the original resolution declaring Milbank as “the Birthplace of American Legion Baseball.”

Cantine Courts

Location: Prairie Street near City Cemetery

Four tennis courts and small picnic shelter offer enjoyment and entertainment.

Cantine Courts is named after Milbank businessman, Larry Cantine, for his dedication and appreciation for the sport of tennis.

Mill Park

Location: 4th Avenue & Flynn Drive

Built by English settler Henry Hollands in 1884, the Milbank Grist Mill was completely reconstructed in 2009. This piece of history stands forty-four feet high and is fitted with four sails seven feet wide and thirty feet long. Tours and live demonstrations are available several times a year. A small museum with restrooms is available.
